The Anchorage Police Department is investigating a possible home invasion in south Anchorage Tuesday night. APD says they were called just after 6 p.m. to a reported break-in at West 88th Street and Forest Village Drive. Neighbors were asked to stay inside their homes for about an hour while police investigated.
A woman died in Fairbanks Monday following a fight between two females at a motel, according to authorities. Fairbanks Police say just before noon, they were called to the Alaska Motel in the 1500 block of South Cushman on reports of a fight and possible stabbing. Anchorage police are looking for two missing vulnerable men in separate cases Saturday night, expressing concern for them ahead of expected low temperatures. David Nealy was last seen leaving his home on the 3500 block of Stanford Drive, off Lake Otis Parkway near 36th Avenue, between 4:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Nov. 18, according to police spokesman MJ Thim.

Court hearings have been continued for 18 taxicab drivers charged with illegally selling alcohol out of their cabs in a remote Alaska town known for its large taxicab fleet. During a status hearing Wednesday, attorneys for the drivers in Bethel told a judge they need more time to review case discovery. A Mentasta Lake man was taken into custody early Saturday on several charges after an assault involving family members, Alaska State Troopers said. Luke Higgins was out celebrating his birthday with family Saturday evening, when he witnessed an only-in-Alaska sight. Emerging from Orso, an Anchorage restaurant along 5th Avenue, Higgins witnessed four police vehicles escorting a cow and calf moose down the road and away from traffic.
Alaska State Troopers have requested the public's help following a burglary in Willow that ended with a dump truck being stolen. Around 11 a.m. Saturday, Troopers received a call reporting a burglary in a remote area of the tiny town.
